Roger....got a university near you? Get yourself appointed adjunct (means no salary)(in exchange for some public information role on earthquakes?). Keep a backup there...it does not help to have backups at home if something happens to home. And, go in once a month and copy new files onto the backup external hard disk there. I do something like this...have 2 external hard disks (and dozens of zips disks, floppy disks..
