I guess I should have checked as well and it appears that you may be more right then I was. My apologies. But then again, 50+ miles away is still quite aways away but a large quake in the area where these quakes are occurring would probably be feelable in Yuma.

Also, this area does get pretty active from time to time.

The following list was taken from the link I supplied below:

===============================================================================
DATE UTC TIME LAT. LON. DEPTH MAG. Q COMMENT
-------- -------- -------------- ----- ------ - ------------------------------
01/01/16 12:29:16 31.95N 114.76W 0.0 3.2MC D 52 mi. S of Yuma, AZ
01/01/17 01:26:33 31.86N 114.63W 1.9 3.9ML D 58 mi. S of Yuma, AZ
01/01/17 02:14:46 31.94N 114.74W 0.0 2.9MC D 53 mi. S of Yuma, AZ
01/01/17 04:47:20 31.93N 114.73W 0.0 3.4MC D 54 mi. S of Yuma, AZ
01/01/17 10:00:45 31.98N 114.77W 0.0 3.0MC D 50 mi. S of Yuma, AZ
01/01/18 10:23:07 31.91N 114.79W 0.0 3.3MC D 55 mi. S of Yuma, AZ
01/01/18 10:32:56 31.93N 114.72W 0.0 2.7MC D 53 mi. S of Yuma, AZ

Note also that the quality of these quakes is a D, so the information about these quakes may be somewhat suspect. From one of my past discussions with Susan Hough, when doing statistical analysis of one type or another, they only use events with a quality rating of A or B.
