No light here...they don't have a focal mechanism yet. But, I was interested that it was right on the coast. The link is to a tide calendar for Bar Harbor. The tide range is large, but will be larger by the weekend (near the full moon). Tides of this range might have significant stress changes..enough to set off a quake that was ready to go anyway. Might be interesting whether there are more aftershocks than expected around the weekend...
A couple of years ago we talked about this on this page when there was another quake right on the coast in the province just northeast of Maine...I guess that is Quebec..
