Well, no aftershocks over 2.4 on the NEIC list. The NEIC lists quakes 2.5 and higher. There is not a focal mechanism on that page: much of eastern North America is under contraction...usually ENE-WSW...so can have shallow thrust quakes. This quake is shown as 6.5 km...don't know if this is accurate...but it may be that the effects of tides are smoothed out over broader area at the depth because of strength of the crust...so effect of tides (1/3 bar) might not affect faults immediately. I should know this stuff, but could have this wrong...comments?
