OK....that's what I was suspecting happened. I have back problems and pinched nerves so I know what it can be like to not be able to move. It usually doesn't bother me as I've learned what not to do that would aggravate it. A word of advice for him, DON'T EVER sign off on the medical with the insurance company. It may have been a pure "accident" (as opposed to negligence) on the part of the lady that hit him, but the insurance company is going to work very hard to find any way to screw him over. Don't even trust your own insurance company. Considering the level of damage, your next call should probably be to some attorneys. You need to protect yourself because the other side may try to turn the whole thing around and lay the blame on your son. I've had accidents and insurance dealings and that is what I've learned from those experiences, though fortunately they were no where near as bad as what your son has gone through. The dealings with the insurance companies were far more painful than the accidents in my case. hehehhe...I even got one guy fired. As Fox Mulder would say, "Trust no one."
