Hi Dr.. Chouliaras. What you say is true in most cases. In most cases there is no connection, but that doesn’t mean that there is no connection for each and every quake. It could very well be that the two quakes in Nevada would have occurred tomorrow, or the next day for that matter, but the energy released by the 8.0Ms quake was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. It has been shown that a large quake on one fault has triggered a quake on a nearby fault. Or so it would seem. Could it not be the same stress that causes the first quakes on one fault also cause the quake on the nearby fault?

There are a lot of things that we know, but do not understand. I wish to be able to understand what it is that I know. At present I don’t have that much supporting data for my theory, but it is based on what I have observed on several occasions. Of course things that are observed are not always what they seem to be.

I have always felt that to be able to learn and to understand what it is you know you must tell someone and hope they will help you to understand.

Now I have a question for you. How did you pick up the alias “Gerry-Makis”? Take Care…Don in creepy town.
