Re: Theory in question - Crack In The Cosmic Egg

Hi Gerry and Don,

The question of triggering from thousands of miles away, I'm sure at some point will either become part of relative theory or not. However, today in exploring the perpetual cosmic egg theory, there is as much reason to believe the earth is far more connected than thought, than otherwise.

When Turkey occurred, shortly after, our Rodgers Creek Fault had its 4.2. That's the first in many years. 3 days before the Great 1906 Earthquake Mt. Vesuvius had one of its greatest eruptions. Caruso had been there when it exploded and came to San Francisco expecting a rest and got worse here. He said when he left he was hopeful things would be better where he went. As far as I can recall, they were.

Quite a few years ago, we had Pangea. Our land masses were joined together. If we accept that the earth is a living, breathing entity, then we have to know if one gets a bad pain in the back, its possible the pain will travel to the foot. So why should it be out of the question for such a large quake in New Britan being the cause of a trigger for Nevada?

On a personal note, every time we have a large quake in the south seas I hold my breath, because I do feel strongly, a connection exists and I don't care much for the idea it could wake up that sleeping giant that rests in my back yard.

There is every reason to believe that any place in California is at risk for a moderate to large earthquake any time now. As to what is going to trigger that quake(s) will only become apparent in hind sight.

Petaluma seems to be experiencing some kind of ground movement that hasn't occurred in recent times. People have cracks all over their houses. My neighbor who has a slab floor like mine said his livingroom floor cracked and pushed upward. I'm getting cracks on all of my walls and the garage looks like a spider web. My backyard has a north south crack that is considerable in the cement. We haven't had so many local quakes in a number of years, so something is on the move? Is it the RCF slowly and gradually getting ready to make its move, or are we only talking about settlement problems? Who knows? I'm taking it as a warning and doing what I tell everyone else to do. Act like it was going to happen tomorrow and if it does, then you've done the best you can. Works for me.

Columbus said the world was round and only a handful agreed. Most said he was going to fall off the edge of the ocean. Then there was no way a man could walk on the Moon. Neil Armstrong proved them wrong. A farmer a hundred years ago would have found it hard to believe that people all over the world would accept weather forecasts that are wrong often and still listen in. Fifty years ago, no one would have believed computers would have such a large role in our daily lives and in about 50 more, all the pitfalls are going to be known, and I have a bad feeling, its going to be to late to reverse the problems and its going to take some left field inspiration to figure out what to do. Scary thought.

Like I always say, nothing is impossible. Difficult perhaps, but absolutely not impossible.

Good to see you back Gerry....Petra
