The Geomag data I analyzed for today shows a sharp spike at 2200UTC 7/9/06.
Searching all sites from Boulder, Tuscon, Newport, 3 AK sites, as well as Fresno and Honolulu showed the spike was pretty evenly recorded on all of the sites, so my ususal method of narrowing down the area by wave distortion isn't yeilding an approximate location. (Has to do with analog signal processing using Human Brain 1.0)
Ususally if this is going to trigger an EQ, it shows up in increments of 4 hours, up to 12 hours post-spike. Since this isn't official EQ prediction, but observation and testing of a hypothesis, I'd guess that the most likely time would be by, or about, 0300 PDT 7/10/06.
Since Parkfield is beginning to pop micros at the time of this post, that if something's going to happen, it'll probably be wide-area, and in multiple locations, Laguna Salada inclusive.
Calexico, Salton, and Berkely being the most likely areas based on recent events and readings.
Cheers!?
