Hello Steve,

What I am trying to do is link the depth of the micros to future larger quakes in this particular area. The micros I am looking at are all from 5 to 8 Km deep,
meaning they are in the metamorphic/igneous basement complex of the southwestern Salton Trough. They are very close depth wise to the pliocene/quaternary sediments. The small group of quakes to the west south west of Ocotillo are occurring in plutonic and metamorphic rock structures. Rocks. Lots of rocks. When I see these patterns, my expectation is for reactivity at some point into the alluvial fill of the basin. I saw the same thing with the western Salton Trough quakes to the north near Salton City. This is hypothetical ofcourse. I look at this area because it is highly active, AND, it is close to home.
