No Memory, It's A Hit

Hi Glen,

In earthquake prediction there are no vague memories, you're either in or out. You had two possibles mostly because I have no record of your past experiences so to get it right from the beginning is a lot more than just chance. This one sound, one quake thing isn't that easy, though I've worked hard to nut shell the darn thing. But what I already know is that someone here is going to say it was a lucky guess, when there's no guesswork at all.

Now imagine that someone in a place that might have come down in a 4.5 quake learned how to do this? Then it would be a miracle and I'd be Mother Petra, Patron Saint of Earthquakes. Only in America is earthquake prediction impossible. I wish I had 1.2 million then I could hire a bunch of programmers, make it look like it was the wave of the future and I wonder how many people would hop on my bandwagon. As Mandy Moore sing songs, "It's all about the money."

Here's what I said:

Hi Glen,

Sounds heard in one's right ear denote east or south. Though predominantly south. There are two possible locations for your possible quake. One is near Lone Pine and the other in Baja. This is hard area to fix, so I'll say vaguely San Felipe on the SAF.

You magnitude should range upward from a 3.8 to perhaps 4.5. Both of these area's give off a louder than normal sound and in particular Baja sounds very loud, but produces quakes normally <4.5.

So have a look,

Petra
