Re: Rodgers Creek Fault |
Hi Tonto, Your most gracious apology is accepted. But you forgot one other little bit. I told you on Saturday I had a very low back pain that reminded me of Ocotillo Wells and I mentioned it hadn't had a quake in a good long while. Well, today it did, a 3.7. I'm truly amazed, as I don't usually pick up the ones under 4.5. I'll have to pay closer attention in the days ahead. Though at this moment it looks like my earlier prediction for the RCF is going to fall by the wayside, I firmly believe something significant is building up in this general area, I'd say within the boundardies of Bolinas on the West, triagulating to the Yountville area to the East and North as far as the MJT. I'm a little uncertain if its so close I'm not getting it, or its in the outlying areas. Hard to tell just now. I had a dream last night about examining a rock. It was broken in half and was about the size of half of a round french bread loaf and 4 inches at the middle section. It was grey, but almost white and had little blue bits inside. I recall examining it very closely. Now my question is, does anyone have any idea what kind of rock this is and where does one find that kind of rock? I have a hunch if someone can help me solve this puzzle, we can look for the fault it belongs to and see if its in this area. Most curious. Yeah Don, the sleeping giant a few miles from my house is an ever present reminder that earthquake preparedness is a must, everyday, and that you can't possibly save enough water. The other day I took some time, every time I ran water for anything to see how much I used. I've stopped running the water now when I brush my teeth. What a waste in those few minutes. I bet at least two gallons if not more. I'd recommend everyone to this for one day and you'll come to realize that gallon or two or four you've set aside isn't nearly enough. Now, I want all of you to know that Don Eck is one of the nicest guys around. I fell way behind in getting some work done around my house because of my back injury. He came here and washed my windows inside and out, helped me get my sewing studio ready in the garage and no matter what kind of help I needed, he was there at the ready and never complained once. Its easy to say Thank You, but very humbling to know when you really need a helping hand, to have someone offer their assistance and mean it whole heartedly is a true rarity. Thanks Tonto, I couldn't be where I am today without you. You've given me more hours than I could ever imagine, been the best friend in my darkest hours and that helping hand when I needed it so much. Boy oh boy, am I lucky! I hope you aren't planning on taking any rest just yet, I still have the list. Hanging Ten From the RCF...Petra Challus
