0-10 degrees: Regional aftershocks are likely in the Mozambique and Madagascar region and possibly in the mining districts of South Africa.

30 degrees (n=12): Ethiopia, South Atlantic Ridge.

36 degrees (n=10): Mid-Indian Ridge, Ethiopia, South Atlantic Ridge, Carlsberg Ridge.

40, 45 degrees (N=8, 9): Red Sea, Chagos area, Indian Ocean, Ascension Island region

51 degrees (n=7): Central Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Southern Iran

60 degrees (n=6): Turkey, Greece, Aegean Sea, southern Italy, Sicily, west of Sumatra

72 degrees (M=5): Java, Nepal, northern Italy, Spain, western Australia.

90 degrees (M=4): Timor, Molucca, Celebes Sea, western Philippines, Ural mountains, northern Mid-Atlantic, Central Chile near Santiago and Valparaiso.

102-109 degrees (Core-mantle refractions and reflections): Kyushu, Honshu, Japan, New Guinea, Puerto Rico, Quebec, Central New Zealand, northern Peru, Colombia.
