The largest earthquakes in the last century, which include quite a few bigger than Sumatra, did NOT follow the tidal rule, as Roger demonstrated.

A list of hits is just a list until you make the list complete, which Roger did for hundreds of quakes in the last hundred years, and which I did for thousands in the last 25 years.

Some have argued that the animals sensed the seismic waves generated by the earthquake, which by traveling faster arrived up to hours before the water waves in the case of Sumatra. While surprising, this is not evidence of earthquake precursors. Jim is talking about animals sensing earthquakes BEFORE they strike, which is an entirely different kettle of fish.

You already said in posts on this board that tides (and tides ARE lunar cycles) just confuse you, so this argument really reduces to you passing on Jim's argument without adding substance.
