Don, During the 65 quake I was sitting in a high school portable that walked off its pier blocks. The Nisqually quake, I was standing in my car port with my One year old in my arms when the first shocks hit. Buy the time the longer waves hit I was out in my front yard and they knocked me to my knees. Even though the 65 quake was point 3 smaller, I will always consider it the worst ride of the two. The reason for this I believe is that the 65 quake center was a lot closer than the Nisqually.
