Thanks Don, You are either up very late or very early. It's now 6 a.m., and the last time I remember insomnia of this magnitude (pun intended) was the night before the 1971 Sylmar quake. Re: large earthquakes triggering a similarly large earthquake nearby within two years, I thought of another possibility. The first EQ might destabilize a section of the same or an adjoining fault, and the propensity for this jarring effect may take place most likely within the first two years. This is perhaps what happened last year in Turkey. Just a thought. Anyone else? Cathryn
