A while back, a person by the name of Alan Jones had written a program called (Ithink) seismic. Using this program you can play back events in slow motion either world wide or for different regions. I was most impressed with the sequence down in Chile.

The reason Alan wrote this program was to be able to look for patterns. He never could. This program can be downloaded from a web site, but right now I don't remember the URL for it but I'll post it when I find it again.

It may be that there are patterns/reasons for certain sequences. They just haven't been found yet where they occur on a consistent basis.

One case in point, Petra mentions Parkfield and Mendocino. Other people have seen Parkfield and Mammoth. So its a never ending quest to find the key to why these things occur. Who knows, maybe there is something between all 3 of those locations.
