Re: a plausible explanation? Infrasound? |
John, Here's a good link about infrasound. It's at a lower frequency than ULF and they don't think people can hear infrasound, but they can feel it. I'm not sure that some people can't hear it. It could be that people who hear ear tones may hear these sounds at a level between ULF and infrasound. It needs to be tested. Charlotte King can hear whales in the ocean and submarines and the average person can't hear those sounds on land. Thus it remains to be seen as to what hearing range people hear certain sounds. I can hear people in another room whispering and hear everything they said, so I would say my hearing is exceptional. I'm very bothered by noises. I absolutely cannot stand the sound of blow dryers for example. And hearing football on TV irritates me. Petra http://skepdic.com/infrasound.html
