Hello Roger,

Let's drop animals for a bit. My question is this; what is the significance of a polygon compared to a circular area or a square area? I'm not asking about how they are mathematically different, but how does a polygon represent earthquake occurence better than any other shape? Stan Deyo went from circles to elliptical representaions, all bs in my book, but really, what is the difference? If I want to cheat on my predictions, what shape should I use, other than a Jack Coles circumnavigational bubble of the whole earth?
