Hi Chris, Yes, I see it's now politically correct to discuss earthquake/disaster preparedness. It only took 6 years to arrive. Whew...glad it's over. As to the Puente Hills Fault and the expected damages, SCEC already had the story on their web site...see link below. I presume it didn't come up, but Lucy Jones through the Seismic Safety Commission passed a new law which went into effect I think on 1/1/05 which required all owners of non-retrofitted buildings to post a sign visible to the public at the entrance to said buildings stating the building is not earthquake safe. You must have had a great time at the workshop, you sound enthusiastic and full of energy. I guess you'll need it to get your paper done on time.
