Sorry that you found my response "pitiful." That is a pretty strong judgment to a legitimate question for which I still don't have an answer. Maybe some professional geologist on this board would like to chime in. I am prepared for a big one as much as anyone could be, with MRE's even and two 5K water tanks on our property, among other sensible things like a powerful radio, batteries, space blankets, flashlights, etc. Nothing pitiful about that. I just asked a question to which I still don't have an answer other than "it will occur." I don't doubt that for one minute. I just wanted to know how Don knows that fractures that will cause a great quake in the Bay Area have already occured. I am not in denial; just curious.
