As the successful predictor of earthquakes since 1974 I must commend Cal Orey, a non-scientist, for putting it all together.
Several other authors had approached me to write a book about me and my methods of earthquake prediction, but all dropped by the wayside, once they encountered the prejudice of "High Science". Following years of abject failure to predict quakes with a time frame of less than 30 years, the mainstream scientists have adopted the posture that short term earthquake prediction is impossible.
Hundreds of subscribers to my monthly newsletter, SYZYGY, know otherwise. Millions of posters to my website, syzygy.com, know otherwise. It is just a matter of time until my geoscience colleagues come around, and this book is an important step in establishing the reality of useful earthquake prediction of time, place and magnitude.

Cal Orey's book is easily read and understood by scientists and the general public, as well. After 34 years of successful earthquake prediction, with commendations from Lockheed, NASA, various Red Cross and O.E.S. officials, and many private "believers", I believe that this book is a benchmark in honest reporting of fringe phenomena relating to earthquakes.

Not since the pioneer work of Helmut Tributsch in his epic publication, "When the Snakes Awake", has such readable information on earthquakes been offered to the public, with recommendations of what to look for and what to do.
If you are unconcerned about earthquakes, you do not appreciate the magnitude of the problem........job
