Interesting challenge. I'm not sure what criteria you would use to judge success. I could pick somewhere out in the desert, say Anza and be successful.

For sake of argument I'll pick Santa Monica. Say 35 miles radius of Santa Monica 1.5-3.0 and make the prediction active immediately for the next seven days. So my window closes at 11:40 AM Friday July 15. Lets see what happens. This area seems to have a magnitude of that size about once a month. So maybe I'll get hit maybe not.
