Here is someone information about earthquakes in the Netherlands.

The strongest earthquake in the Netherlands occurred on 13 April 1992 when a tremor registering 5.8 on the Richter scale occurred to the south of Roermond. Approximately EUR 100 million in damage was reported.

No earthquakes had been recorded in the north of the country before a tremor at Assen in 1986. Since then, KNMI has recorded a couple of hundred quakes with maximum strength of 3.4.

A quake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale took place at Roswinkel, near Emmen, in February 1997 and remains the strongest to have hit the north of the country.

Earthquakes in gas mining regions are also recorded in the province of North Holland. Such shocks occurred in 1989 at Purmerend, in 1994 and 2001 at Alkmaar and in 2001 at Bergen aan Zee. The strongest was the 9 September 2001 tremor measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale at Alkmaar.
