Gee - I've just paid my home heat repairman $184 CDN for a new ignition transformer on my house oil furnace. It went out last Wednesday - wood heat plus manual resets since then.

What really got my interest was the technician saying that he had replaced about 100 of these transformers since the heating season started. This is really unheard of in previous seasons.

I wonder if other country folk are getting more power surges than usual? EMP's at work?
