I can ASSURE you that it is not a Cuban thing. We are horrified at this behavior. NEVER,
NEVER I have heard anything like that. In Pre-Castro Cuba we were and we are here civilized
people.
This proves once more that Castro's Cuba has become 'amoral', which is one of the
objectives of communism. It is obvious their lack of morality when she smiling as if she did a
funny thing says that in Cuban TV... of course taped and shown here.
There is more, the 'dyed blonde' one, said that Sister Jeanne said to her 'God helps.........."
and she said that she answered : " Que Dios ... Dios go to h*ll"
You can find the information, in writing, in Miami's 'El Herald' in Spanish. In local Spanish
TV 51, the last phrase said by that woman was seen and heard.

On one of the t.v. interviews with Sister Jeanne O'Laughlin I heard her state that one of the
unsettling things that happened that she didn't want to talk about was some incident with one
of the grandmothers. Sister Jeanne said that she didn't want to say anything about it because it would be embarrassing to one of the grandmothers. Perhaps that is what she was talking
about and witnessed.

I agree with another poster that said this must be what the nun was referring to when she said
it would be embarrassing to the 'woman' if this incident was made known. And to think, these
grandmothers were given a heroes welcome back in Cuba. Wonder if they ever checked out
Juan Gonzalez to see if he ever matured appropiately?
