Lowell & Zima

John & Chris,

Quite sometime ago one of those scientific ivory tower types told me Lowell was quack. Needless to say I let him know I thought he was wrong and he admitted Lowell was a nice man, but he didn't agree with his science. I think its ok to admit you don't agree and ask politely for a response that supports that persons point of view and it should be done without name calling or labeling.

Personally, I've noticed that some earthquakes will trigger quite a few FFA events on the 103° line, but not all. Probably if one searched the archives here you could locate some of those which are good successes and one's that Lowell himself pointed out. Believe me, he could find things that we missed frequently. Lowell if nothing else was a really thorough person.

John since you've only been here for about a year you may have missed the Very Best of Lowell when he wrote his Zima Chronocles. These are stories about Zima, a female coyote who he befriended in the wilderness and one who in time took up residence in Lowell's home and also enjoyed helping play Lowell's keyboard.

The link attached is the first of many stories and from these the true character of Lowell became known. He is a naturalist, an animal lover and one who enjoys vigorous exercise. If you are interested, you can just type Zima in the search box at the top of this page and enjoy reading some posts that are very interesting and so different from the rest of the language that goes on here.
