This prediction is based upon a dream I had in 1999. Last night in the wee hours as I was reading another news story about the 8.9 quake when I came across the word Sumatra the old grey cells kicked in and brought this dream memory right up, front and center.

In the dream I was in Fairbanks, AK with a scientist in a building that had wood siding which ran up and down the building and the interior was not finished, so I could see it. He sat in one area that was a U shape with his computer and I was standing in another area. He asked me to get something or do something and I said, "there's just been a 9.0 quake in Sumatra." No sooner than I said it, the building started shaking.

Though it's been awhile, I do remember what it felt like during the 5.0 quake that occurred in Bolinas, and I'd say the shaking was darn close to that one. So, in light of the above, I do think Fairbanks is in for a moderate shaker.

For this prediction I think I'll assign concentric circles around Fairbanks, using Fairbanks as the center with a 5.0 and for every 25 miles outward adding .5 to the magnitude.
