Hi Gents,

Won't it be nice one day when there will no longer be any I'm not sure and I don't know answers? All in good time as they say.

I hope there's a good sized shaker during the AGU this year because I want to see how many people know what to do and come to some kind of understanding that they need to learn this. I'd like anyone with a brain to explain to me why Max Wyss can present a submission about estimating the death toll after an earthquake and why yours truly cannot submit one on teaching people how to live through them. He has no more science to his stuff than I do, yet because he's a scientist he gets more latitude. I think it's unfair. Moreso to the people who visit AGU, because the opportunity to take something that one learns about earthquake faults and apply that to safety upon and near them is a perfect match. Whereas learning how being inside of a building in Bam for instance will net you a speedy death should have little if no interest.

It's probably because he has his illustrious reputation. I don't care to get a reputation for that matter.

Ah well.....all in good time....I don't give up easily and one day...maybe a lot of days from now...someone out there will see the wisdom of this issue and give me a little space in one of the back aisles and see if I can muster up any visitors. It surely is not for a lack of space...

In the meantime, I'll do like I always do. Approach them one at a time or in small groups and tell them anyway. They don't seem to mind.

Petra
