Okay, so I'm thinking about moving north, but the question remains, how far? When I was teaching in KY, I seem to remember a humongous EQ (7.8?) hitting this area. Here's my question. Given the structural nature of the area, what are the odds of having another huge earthquake like that a bit south of Mendocino on the coast? Inland? If so, how far?
