The 1994 7.2 off shore did quite a bit of damage in Petrolia and Ferndale as well as catching a timber processing plant on fire in a little inland. But overall, the damage was not that bad.

A relative of a woman I knew at the time was renting an old victorian home there and it slid off the foundation. The only two items not broken were one glass in the cabinet and the TV which fell over onto the bean bag chair which the children usually sat on. They now live in Arkansas.

Now if you were like me, it would seem like heaven.
