Santa Monica Mountains?

There is a bit of a ring of seismicity in todays weekly map around the Santa Monica Mountains, and there has been some persistence to seismicity near the coast and in the near offshore. This may be normal, long term. The faults considered the most "ripe" in the area might be those beneath Fillmore to Ventura.....the Oak Ridge fault, for example, or the San Cayetano and Red Mountain faults....although there are faults on the south side of the Santa Monica Mountains. This is not a prediction...I have no basis for making short term predictions....just an interesting area to keep an eye on.
