Comparison plots (plus) California activity? |
My Data.html Web page has been updated with the latest information. And I added a copy of the same type of plot of those earthquake data. http://www.freewebz.com/eq-forecasting/Data.html http://www.freewebz.com/eq-forecasting/Plot.gif http://zishinyochi.hp.infoseek.co.jp/eartone/z2out.gif These are the types of studies that I have been recommending for years that people posting notes here undertake. But up until now not much has ever gotten done. It has largely just been one argument after another. CALIFORNIA ACTIVITY? The following California area earthquakes showed up with the latest Data.html Web page: 2004/01/26 17:00:03 34.81N 116.32W 3.4 3.1 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA It will be interesting to see if there is any noticeably strong seismic activity in the near future in any of those areas. I am still learning how to interpret the data on that Web page. So I don’t know if that will or will not be the case. Also, I just finished a major expansion of my earthquake database file. And more destructive earthquakes will now be appearing on that Data.html Web page for the years 1990 through 1999 and fewer destructive ones will be appearing for the years 2000 to the present. Its a learning process.
