I find it fascinating to see the swarm active and then just stop as though teetering on the brink of ... In my mind's eye, I see it in cartoon form much like Wiley Coyote before the explosion. My question is, seeing so much activity at the east end of the triangle (with the corners in Ridgecrest/Coso and the other in San Bern), is the pressure going to break there, or at the opposite end as ocurred with Northridge where Santa Monica's swarm 5 days prior led to impact at the other end of the valley. Either way, we are talking about a much larger "valley" in the middle and should any of this scenario occur, I fear that the magnitude would be far greater (i.e., the longer the break in the fault, the greater the mag.) So let's just hope that this is mere fanciful conjecture and that it is best applied to sci fi and not applicable to real life such as ours! Scary though, yet fascinating! Beth
