Successful approach

Don, in my opinion, many of your remarks such as those are incredibly inaccurate. This is not a personal glory trip. People are dying during earthquakes. And if it is possible to do something to change that situation then it is important that those steps be taken.

It does not sound to me like you have ever worked on any major and successful life saving technology development effort in your entire life. If you had that then you would know that one of the most important steps in such efforts is to go out and wave a flag and shout to everyone “THIS IS WORKING” when you are having some success. People are busy. And they can’t spend a lot of time looking around for something that works. You have to get their attention and convince them that they should take some interest in it. Then perhaps something will get done.

When lives are at stake, if tossing humility out the window looks like it might help then Do it!
