Hey Canie

Hello Canie,
There have not been many posts here lately. What are you up to in your geology education? Are you going on the Friends of the Pleistocene field trip around UCSB the weekend after next (I am). It is very inexpensive field trip-camping...(is geomophology, uplifted coastal terraces....I may show the offshore faults in the evening...). Speaking of Catalina, Mark Legg is going to lead a field trip to Catalina later this year...What do you think about the work Roger has done the last year on correlations of FFAs, solar flares, and earthquakes 500-5000 km apart, and the lack of strong correlations (or, maybe, the lack of any correlations?). And, if you have separate email conatct with Donald Boone, tell him that I liked his weekly report, that maybe he had something on his correlation in the SW Pacific, but that I don't regret my criticism of his correlating a daily cycle in the electron flux to earthquakes. Also...you could start some earthquake sensitive threads....Chris
