Hi Chris - boy you can cover a lot of bases in one small paragraph!

School is Calculus and Chemistry - I'm doing well in both so far.. I've decided not to take any summer classes so I can get some other personal projects completed.

I think I looked at that field trip, but I have a cat due to have kittens that weekend, plus a cat show - so no field trip - we just went on a 2 day trip to Anza Borrego area that was quite fun. I'll have to ask Mark about his trip - i see him monthly at the LABGS meetings.

As far as the solar flares and such - I had done some of my own analysis and didn't see any strong correlations either, so not surprising - I think what is more apt to happen there is it has a greater effect on geothermal areas or that magma is more apt to be 'stirred up' due to the influence of the solar flares and the geo-magnetic field... but just a thought.

Don sends me his weekly posts - I could go ahead and post it here - it is a nice recap of current activity.
