Re: Huntington Beach Oil Well |
Don: According to my husband, Gary, who grew up in Huntington Beach, this is highly unusual and he is positive that the pressure increase was caused by fault activity. From the location of the neighborhood referenced he believes that the well is in the onshore branch of the Newport-Inglewood fault zone. I wish that we were still living there simply to monitor the sag pond on Warner Avenue. I wonder if it has also had some interesting changes. Gary does not want to see a big quake like Northridge in HB because he loves the town and because he grew up there. However, if the oil well is a similar indicator to Northridge, there's a chance that that might be the case. Gary and I are located out in La Quinta now which is a nice town next to Indio, and life is good here. I have been tacking things down with quake putty not because of the San Andreas but because of our cats Blondie and Spike. It works wonderfully. :) Mary Follow Ups: ● Re: Huntington Beach Oil Well - chris in suburbia 08:08:35 - 3/21/2004 (21382) (1) ● Re: Huntington Beach Oil Well - Mary Antonelli 15:40:48 - 3/21/2004 (21385) (1) ● Re: Huntington Beach Oil Well ??
