The apparent diurnal variation in the graphs can certainly relate to day and night, but the altitude of the satellites should restrict the night portion, and one might wonder why the curves are so smooth with the sharpness of change from light to dark.

I also wonder why the apparent correlation of a curve below the median with big quakes, as well as the relative position of the red and blue lines and that relationship to quakes vis a vis the Equator.

With the relative frequency of quake related dips, I find it outrageous that one wants to go beyond a few hours to find an appropriate quake. Credibility of a relationship quickly deteriorates after the next 5M or greater quake.

The name of the game for quake prediction is credibility.
