If they are above the Equator, they experience day and night, and the transition is quite rapid. At this point I am not interested in the mechanics or physics of satellite operation, just the correlations. I would of course be interested in conditions that affect the satellite function, and one of these is the geomagnetic field that these satellites rotate through as with day and night. Presumably the geomag Kp data would reflect this. I am impressed that much of the third graph data are similar to the electron data both in shape and relative position. This may need a separate subject for adequate and full discussion. I'll let the local expert start that one. I do think this area holds special interest for this board. Donald
