There have been several 7M quakes available to look at since I started following the solar electron flux and the Loyalty Island quakes. I don't think a 7M is associated with more than a couple of hash marks in a dip. It may be, however, that there is a horizon effect for the satellites which are in geostationary orbit over the Americas. The recent Wyoming quake did produce a big dip, and was closer to the satellites.

The Pinpoint people are expecting a big quake shortly in Mexico, and are pointing to the activity at Mount Popo.
