Well,

instead of a local big quake, here is a transglobal one about 24 hours after the New Ireland, and no other big quakes posted.

Currently there is another sharp dip from the median about 20:00 UTC 1/16. My guess is that this heralds a higher 5M quake, somewhere, sometime soon. The people on the West Coast are still expecting something, but there is nothing on Popo on GVN.
