I WIN!! |
Hello Petra, unless they downgrade the 7.1 that they just posted, I win! I must admit, I'm pretty jazzed about this. My post was a couple of hours before the quake. Talk about instant gratification!. Its taking an hour for me to get buzzed from the Corona beers I've been drinking, and they are a little skunky. So, I like all kinds of music (OK, not all, but diverse)-how about some old-timey or bluegrass (I have Oh Brother, where art though). I guess if I accept the prize, I'll have to offer one if I run a contest again. My address is 61 Western Highway, Tappan, NY 10983 The last time I predicted (and I've only done it 4 or 5 times in 3 years), was for a M5+ in the East African Rift system in a 48 hour window. It was not posted until more than a week later, but I got a M3.8 in the Window. That sounds like chance, but there were only 2 sub-Saharan quakes posted in a 30 day period that month. Anyway, I think I have been a little bummed the last few days because the people I work with are all in Antarctica (assuming that their Hercules from New Zealand was not cancelled again); I'm working hard the last month on that project, teh science was largely/partly my idea, but I did not PQ (Physically Qualify) (the doctors were jealous).
