Excessive arguments

Petra, Canie is in my opinion correct with everything that I have seen that she is saying.

First, I think that just about anyone else who read any of my notes which said anything about your water heater legislation would have regarded my comments as being both encouraging and a type of “pat on the back.” I do extensive amounts of work myself on a variety of projects which are designed to save lives. So I would certainly want to encourage other people with such efforts.

Second, exactly what women in this group are you taking about other than yourself? Canie and I get along. Nancy who occasionally posts notes here is a personal friend. Juliet and I appear to me to be getting along in our notes. If I remember correctly, in one note Cathryn posted a note with a reference to her Web site. I took a look at the site and saw a photo of her there. And I said in a group note that I thought that it was beautiful. So I would expect that she likes at least some of the material that I post.

Who else is left? Is there something that you know about one of the other board posters that the rest of us do not know about?

Most important,

Canie and I apparently both hear Ear Tones as do many other people. She and I would both like to learn more about them and be able to discuss them here. However whenever I post a note on that subject it seems to me that you join in and begin posting notes which are impossible for me to answer and which I feel just discourage other people from getting into the discussion.

I believe that Canie has stated repeatedly including in just the last day that she does not want you getting involved in these discussions like that. And she is the board owner and I feel that you should respect her wishes.

So, there appear to me to be three options here. And if anyone can think of any others then say something.

1. You can continue posting notes whenever I post one about Ear Tones etc. And I believe that this will probably effectively eliminate any possibility of our making any progress with this at this board.

2. You can voluntarily stop posting notes in response to my notes. And that means no independent notes posted here which refer to the information in my notes.

3. Canie can do something to block your posting those types of notes.

People can comment on this. But the final decision is really between you Petra, and Canie. I do personally hope that you choose option 2. Now that I finally have a reliable computer system going I am having extensive discussions with people everywhere about earthquake forecasting topics and would like to continue discussing them here and especially get people discussing some Ear Tone research. And I cannot see how that will be possible if you keep getting involved with the discussions I am trying to get going. I believe that you are actually frightening other people away from joining in. They are afraid of offending you or getting dragged into a heated argument.

You should also be aware of the following: When people post notes here about new and potentially life saving technology such as Shan’s forecasting method you will often see me make a few comments in an effort to be helpful. But as I believe I recall that you yourself stated for some reason you will always regard me as an “adversary.” And so I have considered it prudent to limit any conversations with you even though there were times where I would like to have made some suggestions regarding the work that you said you were trying to do.

My efforts really and truly are intended to save lives. And earthquakes claim lives. If someone were to develop a procedure tomorrow which could accurately forecast them then I might move on to another project the minute I saw the news. I do not know why it is that you seem (to me) to be so opposed to my efforts. You are not a scientist as far as I am aware. And in my opinion you are not going to impress any scientists with your arguments.

You have said repeatedly that you were leaving the group and had not posted a note for a while. And I thought that this might be a good time to introduce this subject matter again and see if it could finally get resolved. So, please try to make a helpful decision on this. I am not certain if you do, but I myself am firmly convinced that lives could be at stake here.
