Dear EQF,

You said, "If I remember correctly, in one note Cathryn posted a note with a reference to her Web site. I took a look at the site and saw a photo of her there. And I said in a group note that I thought that it was beautiful."

A belated thank you. I never saw your prior comment or would have responded to the compliment.

Petra has never asked me not to post my ear tones. Having high regard for the work of my favorite country bumkin', I send mine only to Don. I don't even know if Don and Petra are pooling their data. I do know that Don has worked out a schematic for my tones that seems to be fairly accurate. I don't know what that schematic is. I am only happy to send him my data, and hope he is on the right track. Were I to know his methodology, it might skew my perceptions, and that would foul up the science.

There was a time, a few years ago, when I did post something about the women on this board, especially the lay women, being disregarded. Canie disagreed with me, but as a student of seismology and the owner of this board, I don't believe she experiences the same feelings Petra and I do. That's okay. I like Canie, and things got better once I aired my frustration.

Petra, you know I love you, but I've given you the same advice Canie has. If not outright attacking, just ignore the posts of someone you don't like. The way you and Don goad EQF on has become a bit tiresome, I'm sorry to say. Just leave it be. We all know he had not made a single prediction on this board, but taken credit for many unseen "Bingos."

I hope these aren't wasted words. Everybody, let's stop this bickering. Life is too short, and there is work to do.

EFU (I rather like my new non de plume. Opinions welcome)
