Sorry to have been too single-mindedly seismic in my reply. Since it's my profession, I take it seriously, (my 9-yr-old girl often tells me to talk about something more interesting) but some technical detail is necessary to talk critically about FAA's.

Quite an impressive web page you have, I'll try to tone down the "grad school BS", and stay in the proper state of mind for this board.
