Re: Earth wobble related earthquake triggering

I seem to recall seeing that report on Chandler’s wobble some time ago. And I believe that what is being discussed here is probably quite different.

As I have stated, I am discussing these topics with other researchers around the world. And one of the things that we are trying to determine is what might be responsible for the sun shadow patterns that Shan is observing. I have been told by informed personnel that sensitive gravity measurements suggest that he is probably not seeing a significant approaching earthquake related tilt in the Earth’s crust. And it sounds like about the only other thing he could be seeing is a temporary rotation or twist in the crust. And that might be explained by a brief period of wobble in the rotation of the Earth.

My own theories and probably those of some other people are that there should be a certain amount of Earth wobble linked with rotation of different Earth layers around the sun – Earth – moon barycenter as well as ocean tide drag on the continents. And those wobbles should have at least some components which are about a month in length.

So far there have not been any comments on this in the Newsgroups. My interpretation of that is that this type of research may be at the forefront of what we know about the behavior of the Earth. And everyone is waiting to see what other people have to say.
