Dennis,

I agree with Pat in encouraging you to continue with your valuable work. You may have had a missed prediction this time, you may miss the next eight times too. But what if the tenth prediction saves the lives of a lot of people? We all have disappointments in life and things don't always work out the way we plan, but we can't give up. Where would we be right now if researchers had given up after not finding a cure for polio after many, many failures? That's just one instance where in spite of frustration, scientists kept going because they knew their work was worthwhile.

You and all the others who help us with trying to make sense out of earthquake predictions are very much needed. Please don't take away your knowledge and ability, especially when most sensitives believe that we are on the dawn of a much more violent period of earthquakes and volcanic activity.

Just some thoughts to ponder, hope it helps!
God bless
