Petra, While it is a new result, the slow earthquake is clearly seen in GPS measurements, so Garry is not in danger of eviction from the Ivory Tower. In fact, there have been aseismic earthquake documented in the Pacific Northwest for a couple of years now, although usually after the fact. I'm not sure how this is related to electrical signals, gender differences, or annoying Ford salesmen, but I enjoy reading your commentary.
