Subject: Information Required about Supercomputing and Supercomputers

Dear Sir,

Let me Introduce Myself.I am Prashant S
Akerkar-B.E(Electronics) from Ramrao Adik Institute of
Technology,New Bombay and ACD-Software Exports,a IT
Professional having Experience of 10 Years.

I have some queries regarding Supercomputing related
to prediction / detection of natural calamity like
Earthquakes,Volcanoes,Floods,Droughts etc.

Queries :

1.Do Supercomputers can predict Earthquakes in advance
and if yes before how many
seconds,minutes,hours,days,weeks,months,year? and if
yes what will be the Levels(Full Information,Partial
Information or Probability of Detection)?

2.If Not, then is it possible in Future to Detect or
Predict Earthquakes before hand through
supercomputing?

3.This Query has come to my mind regarding the
Earthquakes which occured in Kutch,Bhuj areas of
Gujarat State.

Had it been possible that the supercomputers like
anupam,param800,param1000 at BARC,CDAC respectively
would have predicted before taking place, then
millions of Lives and Properties of People living in
Gujarat State would have been saved?
