Re: Previous Prediction (From Feb)

I did some research on this a while back, you can download the spreadsheets if you wish. Roger Hunter and Lowell reviewed all the data and verified the findings.

Turns out there is a definite increase in earthquake activity during the time of the new moon and perigee, substantially more then can be accounted for by simple chance.

What does this mean? Only that earthquakes ARE influenced by the syzygy of perigee + new moon to some extent.

Does this help the cause of earthquake prediction? Probably only slightly. I am one of the few people who will admit that I do not believe anyone will ever be able to predict earthquakes.

My prediction is simply for a major event within a 3-day window centered on the moment of syzygy, and I'm so unsure about the mechanics behind the influences that I have a second 3-day window that begins at the moment of syzygy.

Some people make detailed predictions of magnitude and location on certain dates, etc - I just say that these three days are more likely to have a major event somewhere in the world.

Wrong? Could be.

But wouldn't it be interesting if there were a qualifying event?

Lowell, is any current research being done based on my spreadsheet? I released it to public domain, I believe - do with it what you will.
